Snip, Snip, Hooray!

Approximately 6 million dogs and cats enter shelters in the United States every year. It's estimated that this is only a small fraction of animals that live as strays across the nation. Rescues and shelters alike are overwhelmed, too many animals in need and not nearly enough homes. The heart of the problem lies in lack of sterilization for household pets. Spay and neuter procedures are overwhelmingly simple, accessible, and healthier for the vast majority of animals in the long term which saves their owners both heartache and money. Most importantly, every spay or neuter procedure helps reduce the massive pet overpopulation problem which saves many animals from a life of suffering.

For 25 years CARE for Animals has been committed to helping owners that wish to sterilize their pets afford the procedure. Recently, a grant from the Charles M. and Joan R. Taylor Foundation, Inc. has allowed us to bring you Snip, Snip, Hooray! CARE will be partnering with clinics across Arkansas to spay and neuter over 150 pets from February 26th - March 1st.
