CARE Clean Up Day is here, and everyone is invited! There are inside and outside tasks for this project.
Inside Cleaning - We will need volunteers to go through and give our offices a deep clean. Everything from dust removal to window cleaning. The office will provide all cleaning products and tools but please plan to bring your own gloves and mask if you would like to use them. We could also use stepladders if anyone would like to bring theirs.
Outside Cleaning - We have a lot of work to do outside! While the CARE office does have a rake and some gardening tools, we lack a lot of the tools necessary to make this process as efficient as possible. If you can bring any of the following to use, please let us know: weed eaters, shovels, hatchets, blowers, buckets, scrub brushes, or rakes. **If anyone has a truck and can volunteer to bring a couple of loads to the dump that day, or if you have a pressure washer that you would be able to bring for use, please let the office know**
Small Repair Work: We have a shutter that needs to be rehung, a bifold door to be installed, and other similar small projects inside and outside our offices. Any tools that could assist in these projects, particularly drills/bits that will cut into brick or concrete would be much appreciated. Contact the office for more information.
We will draft a list of projects the day before based on the number of volunteers and donated tools available. This will run concurrent with our Saturday Showing from 11-2. If you are signed up to be a dog handler for the showing but also would like to help with projects please let us know so we can plan accordingly.
