Your support goes directly to helping animals like Athena who was left behind when her previous owners moved. A kind neighbor continued to offer her food but then Athena was attacked by a loose dog in the neighborhood and brought to the local shelter. Despite all of this, Athena is well on her way to healing from her physical wounds and continues to trust both humans and other dogs. She was pulled from the shelter by CARE staff and is now looking forward to a second chance at a forever home!
