Blue V, 20-001's Bio

Blue is a beautiful example of an Australian heeler. And, typical of the breed, she is very active and intelligent. She was raised from puppyhood by a very caring and thoughtful young woman who’s done the best she could with Blue. Being a full-time college student and living in an apartment just wasn’t the right environment, and Blue’s owner recognized it. Thankfully, she made the decision to rehome Blue before Blue developed any really bad behaviors. She's a very nice pup; gets along well with other dogs, and should make a great addition to an active family or individual’s home.

Blue is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $250.

Blue is in the Paws in Prison program where she receives obedience training. She is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on March 3. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive her training journal. This journal documents her arrival from the shelter, daily training progress, and interactions with her trainers.
