Wilbur, 19-160's Bio

A kind woman found Wilbur COVERED in ticks roaming her Bryant neighborhood. She took him in and tried to locate an owner. Unsuccessful in her effort, she had no option but to turn him in to animal control. She then immediately called CARE to ask us to consider him for our program. Wilbur is a young shepherd/terrier mix with the best qualities of both. He’s got adorable terrier ears and shepherd markings. His personality is playful and sweet. He loves kids and other dogs. He’s a puppy, though, and needs to be taught some manners. Paws in Prison will give him the structure a young dog thrives on and hopefully the discipline to be a perfect family pup! If he’s half as smart as he is cute, he will be amazing!

Wilbur is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $250.

Wilbur is enrolled in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training. He is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on January 20th. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents everything from his entering the facility, his daily training progress, and interactions with his trainers.
