Lefty, 19-141's Bio

Lefty is a playful young lab mix who for whatever reason was continually passed over at the shelter. He’s friendly, smart, and gets along great with other dogs. He LOVES toys and will entertain himself with them if he has no playmate. He will be a perfect companion for an active individual or family needing a buddy for life’s adventures.

Lefty is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Unfortunately, he has tested positive for heartworm disease. He will be treated for this condition by Little Rock Animal Services at no cost to his adopter. His adoption fee is $250.

Lefty is in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training. He is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on December 12th. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents everything from his entering the facility, his daily training progress, and interactions with his trainers.

If you are interested in meeting Lefty or learning more about the adoption process, please visit our website and submit an online Adoption Application. Thank you!
