Nita, 19-131's Bio

Nita is an adorable little Chihuahua mix who was found roaming the campus of UALR. Sadly, her dreams of meeting a kindly student were thwarted when she was picked up by animal control. She’s a typical Chihuahua in that she loves to lounge in the sun. She is inquisitive and independent, but seems to bond fairly quickly.

Nita is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $250.

Nita is in the Paws in Prison program where she receives obedience training. She is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on November 10. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive training journal. This journal documents her arrival from the shelter, daily training progress, and interactions with her trainers.
