Nubbs, 19-059's Bio

Nubs had his tail amputated at some point in time before being picked up and taken to the shelter and so he has a cute nubby tail. Nubs is smart and treat driven so we can’t wait to see what he picks up at his Paws in Prison training. Nubs is social and gets along with other dogs. Nubs is med-high energy so he is looking for a family that will include him in activities like hiking or trips to the dog park. Nubs tested positive for heartworm but will be treated for this at no cost to his adopter.

Nubs is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250.

Nubs is in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training. He is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on 6/22/19.  The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive Nubs’ training journal. This journal documents his arrival from the shelter, his daily training progress, and his interactions with his trainers.
