Doug, 18-120's Bio

Doug is 40 lbs but thinks he weighs 15 and wants to be a lap dog. He has long, very soft fur and a fluffy tail.  He is a very calm and smart dog and he plays well with the other dogs.  He is not a big barker.  He sits patiently before getting his food or treats and taught himself how to use the doggie door. Doug loves to swim and lay in the water.  He doesn’t seem to mind being in a crate and he is learning how to walk on a leash. Doug was found along the side of a busy country road along with his brother and sister. No one claimed them and they are now looking for forever homes of their own.

Doug will vaccinated, microchipped and neutered before final placement. His adoption fee is $200

CARE's adoptable pets are specifically evaluated and selected to be family and companion animals. We place them in foster homes where they live in the home environment and become part of the family while awaiting permanent adoption. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside pets and spend lots of time with their families. If you are interested in meeting Doug or learning more about the adoption process, please visit our website and submit our online adoption application here: http://www.careforanimals.org/adoption-app.cfm
