Minka, 18-017's Bio

Minka is shy at first, but once she warms up she is a playful pup. She loves romping and running with other dogs. She likes to play tag and goof around with other dogs. She is heartworm positive, so once she starts her heartworm treatment, after graduating the Paws in Prison Program, she will need a home that can keep her calm. She LOVES kids and really loves people. She’s ready to capture your heart and fall into your lap. is in the Paws in Prison program where she receives obedience training. She is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on 4/14/18.  The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive Minka’s training journal. This journal documents her arrival from the shelter, her daily training progress, and her interactions with her trainers. If you are interested in meeting Minka or learning more about the adoption process, please visit our website and submit our online adoption application here:
