Alanis, 17-127's Bio

‘Isn’t it ironic’ that this lovely lady was in the shelter? Alanis is a timid girl who was in the shelter after just giving birth to several puppies. After each puppy found a home, next was Alanis. Alanis is STILL waiting for her home! Alanis is timid and still learning that the leash, and the world, isn’t so scary. Alanis loves other dogs and would love older children to be in a home with. She likes to be outside and lay in the sun. She would love to lay and cuddle with you at the end of your long day. And with a face like that, are you going to say no?  If you are interested in meeting Alanis or learning more about the adoption process, please visit our website and submit our online adoption application here: http://www.careforanimals.org/adoption-app.cfm Alanis is in the Paws in Prison program where she receives obedience training. She is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on 2/9/18.  The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive Alanis’straining journal. This journal documents her arrival from the shelter, her daily training progress, and her interactions with her trainers.
