Gordy, 17-029's Bio

Gordy is a loving and happy guy that just wants to run and play outside. He was found as a stray and brought to Little Rock Animal Village where he was rescued by CARE.  Gordy gets along well with other dogs and is always looking for new best friends! He also loves to splash around in the kiddie pool on a warm spring day.  He gets along great with kids and adults, alike! Gordy is heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment soon. Gordy is very excited to be a part of Paws in Prison and loves his fellow classmates! He has mastered all the basic commands, walks wonderfully on a leash, and is crate trained.  Contact CARE today about making Gordy part of your furever family!

Gordy is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption applications may be submitted now. Gordy’s adoption fee is $250.

Gordy is in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training. He is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on 05/26/17. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive Gordy’s training journal. This journal documents his arrival from the shelter, his daily training progress, and his interactions with his trainers. If you are interested in meeting Gordy or learning more about the adoption process, please visit our website and submit our online adoption application here: http://www.careforanimals.org/adoption-app.cfm
