Photo Ember

Animal Type: Dog

Pet's Story / Bio

Ember was in rough shape when CARE found her at the shelter. She was severely depressed and suffering from heartworms. Because treatment for heartworms is so expensive, dogs that test positive are often overlooked at shelters. CARE was able to rescue Ember and give her a warm place to sleep, good food, and medicine. After her recovery, Ember was placed in the Arkansas Paws in Prison program where she received obedience training and lots of love and attention. Ember made straight A's at her graduation and was quickly adopted by her wonderful new mom, Kayla. These days, Ember is in perfect health and living life to the fullest
