Sophie VIII, 16-097's Bio

Meet Sophie! She is a delightful 4-month-old Boxer/Shepherd Mix. She was rescued from euthanasia when she was 8 weeks old by a good citizen who has nursed her back to health. Sophie had to have her eye surgically removed after she was shaken by a bigger dog when she was 8 weeks old. The loss of her eye has not slowed her down at all, and she is full of life and love! The vision in her right eye is not the best, but she is so smart and will easily adapt to new surroundings. Sophie enjoys gently playing with kitty and dog friends. Sophie is looking for a fur-ever home where she can be loved and learn more ways to adapt to her impairment. Sophie is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150. CARE's adoptable pets are specifically evaluated and selected to be family and companion animals. We place them in foster homes where they live in the home environment and become part of the family while awaiting permanent adoption. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside pets and spend lots of time with their families. If you are interested in meeting Sophie or learning more about the adoption process, please visit our website and submit our online adoption application here: http://www.careforanimals.org/adoption-app.cfm
