These adorable little guys showed up at my home a few days ago half starved and dehydrated. I'm guessing they are around 2 months old and are readily eating dry food. They are both very friendly and like people. They were already familiar with a litter box and appear to be completely litter box trained. It does not appear that they have any other training, although I am starting to have some success with their recognition and understanding of the word no (consistency and positive reinforcement). Unfortunately, I already have 4 cats (3 rescues, the area I live in is a popular dumping spot) and a dog (also a rescue), and am not financially able to take on two new responsibilities. They have both shown curiosity regarding my adult cats, but my adult cats have acted aggressively towards them. It's taken a couple of days, but they are getting used to my shih-tzu and he has gotten to where he tries to mother hen them somewhat. I believe both of these guys would adjust rapidly to a home with other pets or do well as the only pet. Both kittens are extremely loving at times. They spend a lot of time playing together and often sleep on top of each other. I would love for them both to go to the same home, although I understand that probably isn't likely. Both kittens have been sleeping with me at night, and so far are sleeping through the night (no late night scuffles or howling). I am assuming they still need vaccinations and will need to be neutered in a few more months. I have not noticed any health problems, and both appear to be parasite free.
The gray and white one I have named Skreech. He's definitely the more vocal of the two. He's also the trouble maker and likes to get into stuff. He's very rambunctious and loves to play. He's a little bit smaller than his brother and his brother tends to block the food bowl, not allowing him to eat at the same time. Also I've noticed that if his brother is close by while he's eating, Skreech will try to eat as quickly as possible, often trying to swallow the pieces whole. He has longer legs and is a bit lanky. This little guy will need someone with a lot of patience as he's very stubborn and demanding when he wants something. He also loves attention and loves to be on or next to a person.
The black and white one I've named Oreo. He's the more mellow of the two and isn't as noisy as his brother. Oreo likes to play and is curious, but so far he's been pretty good about not getting into stuff or tearing anything up. The majority of the his time is spent playing in the floor or sleeping. Oreo is very good at keeping himself entertained. He's also the lover of the two, with a very sweet disposition. He also seems to be the more independent of the two.
If you're interested in both or either of these little guys please feel free to contact me. I am located close to Beebe in White County.
